Independence House Pecos is a 75-bed facility housing males from the diversion and transitional levels. Independence House Pecos houses General Population inmates as well as some special populations. These special populations/programs are: Vocational Heavy Construction Technology Program, inmates who learn construction trades while incarcerated at Buena Vista Correctional Center and Sterling Correctional Facility and are transitioned through our half-way house with the expectation that they use their training to seek employment in the construction field. Sex Offender inmates from San Carlos Correctional Center are monitored by GPS and are required to undergo extensive treatment as well as intensive supervision. We also are part of a national study called MICA (Mentally Ill Chemical Abusers), inmates with co-occurring mental health and drug/alcohol abuse histories are placed at two of our facilities (Pecos and Fillmore) to monitor their progress. The facility takes pride in our responsiveness to the contractors, and in meeting their individual needs of such a diverse population.

Independence House Fillmore is a 40-bed Modified Therapeutic Community. Fillmore is designed to treat inmates with co-occurring mental health disorders and offers many in-house programs from drug/alcohol treatment to life skills/budgeting, anger management/individual therapy. An on-site psychiatrist is available for the inmates as well as a full-time licensed psychotherapist. Fillmore is participating in a national study called MICA (Mentally Ill Chemical Abusers) to study progress in this type of setting. In addition to providing services at the Diversion and Transitional level, the Fillmore program serves as an overflow facility for Federal inmates from Independence House South Federal.

Independence House South Federal is a 72-bed facility housing a co-ed population of clients at the Federal level. There are three (3) jurisdictions at the Federal Level; Pre-Trial, Bureau of Prisons, and Public Law. Each jurisdiction has different requirements which the staff at South Federal are equally equipped to handle.
