Out-Patient Overview

Independence House (IH) Out-Patient program is an approved by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division of Colorado (ADAD) to provide drug and alcohol treatment. We provide treatment and services to numerous criminal justice, social service, and community based entities in the State of Colorado. Also, as an Approved Treatment Provider for the Colorado Department of Corrections and Intensive Supervision Program services, Independence House Out-Patient services a wide population of Adult Inmate, Community, and Parolees in the Denver Metro Area. IH has three out-patient centers
located     throughout    the   Denver   Metro    area.

IH Non-Residential receives Diversion/Direct Sentence clients from the IH Residential programs after they have completed their residential placements. IH Non-Residential case managers supervise clients in their transition from residential to Non-Residential/independent living. Each client is assigned a case manager and required to provide random urinalysis/oral swab/breathalyzer testing while continuing weekly treatment and supervision by IH outpatient staff. Clients may also be required to ingest Antabuse, a medication to deter clients from ingesting Alcohol. Case managers are responsible for supervising the

client‘s sentence completion on behalf of the Denver courts. This includes all aspects of community corrections sentence including, but not limited to:

  • Restitution Payment
  • Employment Status
  • Compliance with Program Rules & Regulations
  • Compliance with Sentence Stipulations (Community Service, etc.)
  • Treatment
  • Sobriety & Substance Abuse Monitoring
