Program Description: Independence House operates three out-patient treatment programs, licensed to provide substance abuse therapy by the Division of Behavioral Health within three treatment modalities, Weekly Out-Patient, Enhanced Out-Patient, and Intensive Out-Patient. All out-patient programs are located in the Denver metro area providing treatment, substance abuse monitoring, case management, and life skills. Our Non-Residential population reports to out-patient centers for treatment and services and to the IH Pecos facility for case management.
Within our 3 centers, we supervise over 2,000 offenders by monitoring their progress and compliance with their sentence.
IH provides mental health, substance abuse individual and group therapy as well as mental health and drug and alcohol assessments. IH is licensed and/or certified to provide drug and alcohol treatment, co-occurring therapy, anger management, DUI, cognitive therapy, case management, and individual monitoring of client compliance. IH works very closely with the Department of Corrections (DOC), the Denver Pre-Trail office, Denver County Probation, Denver District Probation, DOC Intensive Supervision Program, DOC Inmate Parole Program and various other counties within the Denver metro area. IH has a niche for enrolling out-patient clients into 90 day and 14 day in-patient residential programs and IH provides 9 months of aftercare following the client’s in-patient treatment completion. The US Federal Probation clientele has expanded mental health services to include medication and psychiatric evaluations.
